Leading Conversation

Successful leadership, team work and customer relations all depend on a sound communication. What does it take in order to talk to each other in a clear, appreciative and solution-focused manner? We have three trainings on offer:  Coaching skills for leaders, feedback skills and mediative communication.

Coaching skills for Leaders

If you want to enable colleagues to solve problems and take responsibility, it is better to ask more questions than giving answers. Furthermore, questions shape your relationship: your staff see you as interested in and appreciative of their opinion – and feel encouraged to become more active. In a transition process towards an agile company, coaching is a crucial competence of leaders and internal coaches can take on long-term roles.

In this Training you acquire the basics of Systemic Coaching in theory and essential practice.

Format: In-house 2 days as single module or as part of a tailor-made leadership development.

Online Training: 3x 4 hours with practice sessions in-between.

Who can most benefit: managing directors, leadership, staff, and internal coaches/consultants

Feedback culture

Successful communication is the basic building block of learning as well as agile enterprises!

As already mentioned under Team, the communicative competencies are main factors of high-performance teams. Successful teams have a good balance between inquiry (asking questions) and advocacy (voicing my point of view), between positive and negative comments and between talking about others and self.

How can we acquire a constructive, appreciative communication culture? It is first of all techniques that need practice until it feels like ‘normal’ conversation. Here, we offer Active-Listening- and Feedback-tools. When you establish these practices in your organisation, it will be easier to maintain, as all colleagues will communicate in a similar way.

In this training you will establish a feedback-culture through the content and competencies:

  • Basics of communication and perception,

  • Active Listening,

  • Constructive Feedback

  • Increasing your self-reflection capacity.

Format: In-house 2 days, ideally with a follow-up day.

Online Training: 3 x 4 hours with practice sessions in-between.

Who can participate: staff and leadership from all levels

Mediative Communication

When first signs of conflict occur, it may still be possible to use feedback competencies from above. As a next step, we offer a training in mediative communication. It is suitable in the case of misunderstandings and light conflict. The training above forms the basis.

Content:

  • Definition and forms of conflict,

  • Ladder of escalation (F. Glasl),

  • Mediative communication as a form pf conflict moderation,

  • Preparing the conversation and remaining non-partisan,

  • Practice cases within the group.

Format: Inhouse 1 x 4 hours as 4th module of feedback-culture.

Format Online: 1 x 4 hours virtual as 4th module of feedback-culture.

Who can participate: staff and leadership from all levels.
