collegial leadership & agile culture

„Leadership is too important to leave it up to managers.“
— Bernd Oestereich and Claudia Schröder

Agile organisation development is a pathway into more innovative, flexible teams and organisations, closer relationships to clients and faster adaptiveness to changes. It is important to check whether it fits your organisation.

To reflect whether agility is a possible pathway for your organisation development, we offer 2 workshops an - if suitable in combination: an orientation workshop for collegial leadership and a reflexion of your lived values and organisational culture.

Collegial Leadership orientation workshop

Collegial Leadership (CL) is a form of agile organisation development. Claudia Schröder and Bernd Oestereich developed and implemented CL out of various existing organisational models. CL can be of interest to you, if you:

  • want to increase the adaptiveness of your organisation to dynamic markets, contextual conditions and client requirements,

  • would like to strengthen the crisis-resilience of your enterprise,

  • want to collaborate based on values and principles,

  • would like to incrementally develop a tailor-made model of leadership and collaboration for your organisation,

  • want your staff and yourself to find meaning in your way of working.

CL is both suitable for and tested in the non-profit- as well as business-sectors.

This workshop serves your information about the model. It is therefore meant for decision-makers and interested people of an organisation, who consider CL as a pathway. It is not a professional training for facilitators/consultants. For that, you can contact Werkstatt für kollegiale Führung.

Content:

  • You learn when CL is suitable, what can be enabled, what not? Which values and mental models correspond with CL?

  • You reflect whether CL can be a helpful solution for your company.

  • You get to know elements of CL, which can be utilised and adapted flexibly, like leadership roles instead of position, organisation in circles, tools of CL and the adaptation model as a learning process.

Format: Depending on level of depth 2h up to 1 day – virtual or on site.

Who can participate: Owners, C-level, Directors, Board members, together with interested staff of an organisation.

New Work is not a toolbox, but a new world view!
— Frederic Laloux

Agile culture reflection

Agility is a world view and not just a set of methods and processes. In this workshop, we would like to explore your readiness. You will reflect your lived values and culture in the organization, to decide, which next development steps may be needed. In our view it is not sufficient to change structures and processes towards agility, if the inner attitudes and values have not changed and the organization is still living an old paradigm. Inner alignment is an essential precondition:

Content:

  • You reflect on your organisational values and culture with an evolutionary value development model.

  • You identify next development steps for your organisation.

  • You test the readiness for change within the organisation/management.

  • You decide on your current development goal and prepare for change.

Format: 1 day plus 1 follow-up day or 3x 4 hours online Training.

Who can most benefit: In-house for board, managing directors, leadership and staff. This seminar needs the willingness of the top leadership to explore the topic.
